Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our growing performance team in Charlotte, NC. This position is ideal for someone passionate about athlete development, functional strength training, and helping clients reach their highest physical potential.
We are hiring for immediate placement within 1–2 weeks, and we welcome applications from candidates nationwide who are open to relocating. Our ideal hire brings strong coaching presence, great communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
This role provides the opportunity to work with a diverse client base—including youth athletes, adults, and sport-specific populations—inside a supportive, high-energy facility focused on improvement, safety, and long-term development.
Duties
- Assist in coaching small-group and team-based strength & conditioning sessions
- Support the implementation of structured training programs designed by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach
- Demonstrate and teach proper movement mechanics, lifting techniques, and safety protocols
- Lead warm-ups, mobility prep, conditioning blocks, and strength segments as assigned
- Track athlete progress, training loads, and performance metrics
- Help maintain training environments, equipment setup, and facility organization
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and staff regarding performance goals
- Participate in staff meetings, internal education, and continuous coaching development
- Support specialty programs, testing days, and seasonal training cycles
Qualifications
- Prior experience in strength & conditioning, personal training, or athletic coaching
- Strong understanding of movement mechanics, resistance training, and conditioning principles
- Excellent communication, leadership, and motivation skills
- Ability to coach groups confidently and maintain a positive training atmosphere
- CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Preferred but not required:
- CSCS, NASM-CPT, ACE-CPT, USAW, ISSA, or another recognized certification
- Experience training youth athletes, teams, or sport-specific populations
