ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
- Plan and oversee cleaner’s schedules at all NY facilities
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and order as needed from preferred vendors
- Train staff in proper cleaning techniques and use of chemicals and equipment
- Observe, monitor, and ensure compliance with all safety requirements and practices, including taking action to stop if safety is compromised
- Access computer systems to order cleaning material
- Create and maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) binders for each site
- Coordinate with outside cleaning services (carpet cleaning, vinyl floor maintenance, window maintenance)
- Demonstrate effective leadership and management skills to hire, promote, discipline, transfer, and terminate cleaners
- Uphold all policies and procedures and resolve conflict
- Review and approve time management records
- Attend training as needed or assigned
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid New York state driver’s license
- General housekeeping knowledge
- Good organizational and communication skills with internal and external customers
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to schedule and collaborate with outside vendors
- Provide own source of transportation (car or truck) for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities
