We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and dynamic social media and graphic design specialist to join our team as a Content Creator. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for visual storytelling, a strong understanding of branding, a pulse on digital design trends — and a genuine love for animals.
In this role, you will create compelling videos and static content across digital, print, and social platforms, primarily supporting three major veterinary specialty and ER hospitals in the Los Angeles area. You will collaborate closely with hospital leadership, operations, veterinary relations, marketing, brand, communications, public relations, and digital teams to develop and execute content that supports strategic growth initiatives.
Make an Impact as an ACCESS Content Creator
We’re looking for a Content Creator for our ACCESS Hospitals to join the Thrive Pet Healthcare Home Office team.
In this role, you’ll play a meaningful part in advancing our organization’s priorities and supporting our hospital teams. Your expertise will help improve processes, elevate the employee and client experience, and strengthen the operational foundation of a growing, nationwide veterinary network.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Veterinary Relations Managers (VRMs) and Specialty/ER hospital leadership to align content with local growth strategies and service line priorities.
- Develop and execute location-specific marketing content, including e-blasts (CE programs, rDVM communications via SmarterSends), social media, and digital promotions.
- Own social media planning, publishing, and performance tracking; analyze engagement metrics and optimize content accordingly.
- Capture and produce photography and video showcasing hospital expertise, culture, and specialty services.
- Design and deliver graphics, videos, and layouts for digital and print materials in alignment with brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with centralized marketing teams to support cohesive, multi-channel campaigns when time allows.
- Maintain brand consistency across all assets and prepare final files for production, as needed.
- Manage a SharePoint-based digital asset management (DAM) system for scalable content organization.
- Stay current on industry trends, tools, and best practices – especially social media trends.
- Develop trust with field stakeholders such as practice managers, medical directors, and vet relations representatives at the hospitals, and operations managers, directors, and VPs that support hospital operations.
- Coach operations partners and hospitals’ leadership on marketing programs, strategies, and tactics that are appropriate for the hospitals’ goals.
- Foster a sense of belonging and collaboration among the hospitals in the region.
- Support hospitals’ leadership with empathy and with a solution-oriented approach.
- This role plays a key coordination function across three ACCESS locations, supporting B2B and B2C stakeholders, internal physicians and hospital leadership, and the needs of the support office.
- Partner with operations and hospital leadership to assess needs, capacity, and growth opportunities, translating insights into targeted marketing support and execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing teams to brainstorm new programs, develop localized tactics, and lead hospital-specific initiatives from concept through execution.

- 7+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer, Social Media Specialist, or similar creative role
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines

Verify your degree field matches the role
USCIS evaluates whether your degree directly relates to Content Producer duties. A communications, journalism, or digital media degree strengthens the specialty occupation argument. A degree in an unrelated field may require a credential evaluation showing substantial coursework overlap.
Search LCA filings by occupation code
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up LCA filings under SOC code 27-3043 (Writers and Authors) or 27-1024 (Graphic Designers). Employers who've filed for these codes in your metro area have already cleared the DOL prevailing-wage process for similar roles.
Target employers enrolled in E-Verify
STEM OPT employers must use E-Verify, but many H-1B-sponsoring media companies and agencies enroll voluntarily. E-Verify enrollment often signals an established immigration process, reducing the back-and-forth that delays Content Producer petitions at smaller shops.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsors
Search Content Producer roles on Migrate Mate to see employers with confirmed H-1B LCA filing history in your occupation. This cuts out companies that list roles as open to sponsorship without ever having filed a petition for a creative or media position.
Clarify job duties before the LCA is filed
Content Producer is a broad title. Before your employer files the LCA, confirm the job description emphasizes duties that require a degree, such as editorial strategy or branded content development. Generic duties like 'creating social posts' can trigger a specialty occupation RFE from USCIS.
Request premium processing if your start date is tight
If you're changing status from OPT or CPT with a deadline approaching, ask your employer to file Form I-907 with USCIS for premium processing. This cuts adjudication time to 15 business days and protects you if the regular queue runs close to your authorization end date.
H-1B Visa Content Producer: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Content Producer role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
It can, but the job description has to demonstrate that the role requires a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field. Titles like Content Producer cover a wide range of duties. Roles centered on editorial strategy, scriptwriting, or digital content development tied to a communications or media degree typically satisfy the specialty occupation standard. Purely operational or coordinator-level roles may face more scrutiny from USCIS.
Which employers sponsor H-1B visas for Content Producer jobs?
Media companies, streaming platforms, digital agencies, tech firms with in-house content teams, and large consumer brands with editorial departments regularly file H-1B petitions for content roles. You can see which employers have filed LCAs for similar occupations by checking Migrate Mate, which surfaces verified sponsorship history by role and location so you're targeting companies that have actually gone through the process.
What happens to my H-1B if my Content Producer role changes significantly after approval?
Material changes to your job duties, location, or salary may require your employer to file an amended H-1B petition with USCIS before the change takes effect. If your role shifts from content creation to management, for example, the underlying specialty occupation argument changes. Your employer's immigration counsel should evaluate whether an amendment is needed to keep your status valid.
Can a Content Producer role at a startup or small agency be sponsored?
Yes, company size doesn't disqualify an employer from filing an H-1B petition. What matters is whether the employer can demonstrate financial ability to pay the DOL-certified prevailing wage and that the role genuinely requires a degree. Smaller employers without in-house immigration experience often work with outside counsel to handle LCA filing with the DOL and the I-129 petition with USCIS.
How does the prevailing wage requirement affect Content Producer H-1B petitions?
Before your employer files your H-1B petition, they must submit an LCA to the DOL certifying they'll pay at least the prevailing wage for your occupation and location. You can look up the applicable wage level using the OFLC Wage Search, which breaks down rates by job zone and metro area. Content Producer wages vary significantly between markets, so the certified wage in New York or San Francisco will differ from smaller metros.
