This position on the Medicare Risk Adjustment Submissions Team is responsible for supporting the end-to-end data management process associated with the receipt, validation, preparation, and submission of risk adjustment data to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding and interpreting data requirements
- Utilizing SAS and SQL to process, transform, and generate submission files
- Editing and formatting data to ensure compliance with CMS submission standards
- Creating and maintaining datasets that support ongoing submission activities
- Data retrieval, validation, analysis, reconciliation, and audit trail documentation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all submitted data
In addition, this position requires collaboration with vendors, providers, and internal business partners, as well as close coordination with team members to effectively manage workflow priorities, resolve issues, and meet submission commitments. Team members in this role utilize Base SAS 9.4 (Windows 11) and AWS Athena to perform data extraction, analysis, validation, and data comparisons.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a natural curiosity for investigating data issues, and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Candidates should possess strong verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to clearly and effectively convey information to audiences across multiple departments and leadership levels within the client.
