Takeda Omakase Sushi Restaurant is hiring kitchen staff in preparation for our upcoming opening. We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals who can support all aspects of kitchen operations, from preparation through service. - Head Chef Assistant / Kitchen Helper (No experience required)
- Kitchen Chef (Experienced)
SCHEDULE & WORK CONDITIONS
- 2:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- 5–6 days per week (Closed on Tuesdays)
BENEFITS
- After 2 years: 2 weeks paid summer vacation (65% of base pay)
- After 3 years: Up to 4 weeks total paid vacation (summer and winter combined)
REQUIREMENTS
- Basic understanding of Japanese
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Interest in Japanese cuisine is a plus
HEAD CHEF ASSISTANT / KITCHEN HELPER (NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED) RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation
- Ingredient preparation (vegetable cutting, fish processing)
- Preparing stocks, sauces, and foundational components
- Executing daily and next-day prep plans
- Managing ingredient freshness, storage, and labeling
Head Chef Support
- Assisting with plating at the counter
- Basic cooking support and kitchen organization
- Supporting the team during peak service hours
Sanitation
- Dishwashing
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
COMPENSATION
- Full-time
- Training period: 3 weeks
- After training: $20/hour + tips ($3+/hour, based on performance)
- Wage increases available based on skill and contribution
KITCHEN CHEF (EXPERIENCED) RESPONSIBILITIES
- Full kitchen operations including prep and cooking
- Grill, fry, and dessert preparation
- Ingredient and quality control
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen
- Cleaning and managing kitchen tools and equipment
- Pre-service and post-service setup and breakdown

- Full-time (negotiable based on experience)
