Verify your degree field matches the role
USCIS requires a direct relationship between your degree and the Partnerships Coordinator duties. A business, marketing, or communications degree typically satisfies this. A degree in an unrelated field can trigger an RFE, so confirm the match before applying.
Search LCA records by occupation code
Use the OFLC Wage Search to pull Labor Condition Applications filed under SOC code 11-2032 (Public Relations and Fundraising Managers) or 13-1161 (Market Research Analysts). Employers with recent LCA history are actively sponsoring roles at your level.
Target employers enrolled in E-Verify early
E-Verify enrollment is a prerequisite for filing your H-1B petition. Filter your outreach to companies already enrolled so the employer's compliance setup doesn't become a bottleneck after you've received an offer.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified H-1B sponsors
Cross-reference DOL LCA disclosure data with active job listings on Migrate Mate to identify Partnerships Coordinator openings at employers who have recently sponsored this role, not just companies that sponsor H-1Bs in general.
Time your offer acceptance before April registration
USCIS opens H-1B cap registration in March for an October 1 start date. Securing your offer and having your employer register you before the window closes is critical. Starting negotiations in January or February gives both sides enough runway.
Request premium processing if your start date is firm
If your employer's project timeline or your OPT expiration date leaves limited buffer, ask the employer to file Form I-907 for premium processing. USCIS guarantees a decision within 15 business days under this option.

Find Partnerships Coordinator JobsPartnerships Coordinator H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Partnerships Coordinator role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
Yes, if the employer's job requirements specify a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field such as business, marketing, communications, or public relations. The key is that the degree requirement must be tied specifically to the role, not listed as a general preference. Employers who post 'bachelor's preferred' rather than 'required' create a weak foundation for the H-1B petition.
Which employers sponsor H-1B visas for Partnerships Coordinator positions?
Tech platforms, media companies, nonprofits, and large consumer brands are the most common sponsors for Partnerships Coordinator roles. You can identify them by searching DOL LCA disclosure data for filings under the relevant SOC codes. Migrate Mate surfaces this data alongside active job listings, so you're not guessing which employers have actually filed for this role.
Can I transfer my H-1B to a new employer if I change Partnerships Coordinator jobs?
Yes. Under H-1B portability, you can start working for a new employer once they file a new H-1B petition on your behalf, without waiting for approval. Your status remains valid during the transfer as long as you haven't had a gap in authorized employment. The new employer still needs to file an LCA certifying the prevailing wage for your new role and location.
What wage level should I expect an employer to certify on my LCA?
Most Partnerships Coordinator roles are certified at DOL wage levels 1 or 2, depending on your experience and the employer's internal band. You can verify the prevailing wage for your metro area and SOC code using the OFLC Wage Search before your offer negotiation. Employers are legally required to pay at least the certified wage for the life of your H-1B status.
What happens to my H-1B status if my Partnerships Coordinator role is reclassified or my team is restructured?
A material change in your job duties, title, or work location can require the employer to file an amended H-1B petition with USCIS. If your role shifts significantly from what was described in the original petition, working under the old approval could create compliance issues. Flag any restructuring to your employer's immigration counsel promptly so they can assess whether an amendment is needed.
