ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
What are we looking for?
SoftPro Technology Operations is seeking a Product Owner to join their team. The position can be in our Raleigh, NC offices, fully remote or hybrid. If remote, you must be able to work Eastern Standard hours and willing to travel to our Raleigh NC headquarters up to 5 times per year for defined events.
As a Product Owner on the Technology Operations team, you will serve as the bridge between end user needs and technical execution. You will lead the delivery of new features, application improvements, and productivity improvement solutions across Microsoft Dynamics 365, customer self-service tools, and internal productivity solutions. Your work will drive measurable value for both external customers and internal users while supporting SoftPro’s strategic goals around operational efficiency, digital transformation, and customer self-service adoption. This role requires a blend of end-user empathy, technical fluency, and agile leadership to ensure successful outcomes across multiple teams.
What will I do as a Product Owner at SoftPro?
Own your product portfolio
- Lead and participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle for assigned products and initiatives.
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for Microsoft Dynamics 365, MySoftPro customer self-service capabilities, and internal productivity solutions.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365, MySoftPro and related end-user experiences in productivity solutions.
- Confidently demo your team’s features to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to ensure seamless and effective delivery.
Understand your users
- Develop a deep understanding of end-user workflows across Sales, Support, Accounting, Implementation, other business unit groups and external users.
- Organize calls and other interactions with your customers (internal and external) to identify needs and problems as well as to validate feature requirements and initial designs.
- Act as the voice of the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Validate features to ensure they meet customer needs.
Own your backlog
- Maintain a refined and prioritized backlog and lead backlog related agile ceremonies.
- Write clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure backlog items are ready for development and aligned with roadmap priorities.
- Coordinate with product management and other key stakeholders to maintain a long-term product area plan.
- Work with product manager, development team, and architecture to identify and prioritize ongoing maintenance work to minimize future issues and take advantage of technical advancements.
Guide and influence your teams
Serve as the liaison between development teams, stakeholders, leadership, and business users.
Deliver results
- Drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency, productivity, and customer self-service adoption.
- Embody and reinforce an agile mindset with your team by holding yourself and others accountable for maintaining agile methodologies. Call out inefficiencies, provide constructive feedback, and actively collaborate with all team members.
- Ensure timely delivery of features and enhancements.
- Track and report on key metrics such as backlog health, stakeholder satisfaction, and post-release quality.
- Continuously improve processes to increase team velocity and product quality.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
What will I need to be successful as a Product Owner at SoftPro?
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar product-focused role within an enterprise software environment.
- 5+ years of experience supporting customer-facing portals, self-service solutions, or digital experiences.
- 5+ years of experience in Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
- 2+ years of Product Ownership experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or other enterprise business applications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management skills, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Receptive of feedback with a strong sense of awareness and responsibility to performing duties and continuously seek to improve.
- Must be able to quickly learn, gather, and demonstrate a thorough understanding of end-user requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
- 3+ years of experience with Azure DevOps practices, development tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.
- 2+ years of experience supporting AI-enabled productivity solutions and Microsoft Copilot technologies.
- Ability to understand platform and integration architecture.
