Document your specialty occupation case early
Pull the O*NET profile for Sales Enablement Manager and note the job zone and education requirements. Gather transcripts showing a degree in business, marketing, or communications to preempt any USCIS specialty occupation challenge before your employer files.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Use Migrate Mate to filter Sales Enablement Manager roles by verified H-1B Labor Condition Application filings, so you're applying to companies that have already navigated DOL certification for this specific title rather than hoping they'll start the process for you.
Confirm prevailing wage level before accepting an offer
Run your metro area and job title through the OFLC Wage Search before signing anything. Sales Enablement Manager wages vary sharply by region, and a Level I wage posting in a high-cost market can complicate the LCA certification DOL requires.
Negotiate premium processing into your offer terms
Standard H-1B adjudication can run several months. If your OPT or current status expires soon, ask the employer in writing to file with USCIS premium processing, which targets a 15-business-day decision and protects your start date.
Verify the employer is E-Verify enrolled before your start date
H-1B employers must complete I-9 verification, and many tech and SaaS companies are already E-Verify participants. Confirm enrollment status with HR before your first day to avoid onboarding delays that affect your authorized start date.
Align your job description to USCIS specialty occupation criteria
Work with your employer's counsel to ensure the offer letter describes duties requiring specialized business or sales methodology knowledge, not general management tasks. Vague role descriptions are a common trigger for Requests for Evidence on Sales Enablement petitions.
H-1B Visa Sales Enablement Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Sales Enablement Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
Yes, but the employer must demonstrate the position normally requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, communications, or a related discipline. Generic management duties without a clear degree requirement can invite USCIS scrutiny. A well-drafted job description that ties each core duty to specialized knowledge is what distinguishes an approvable petition from one that draws a Request for Evidence.
Which industries sponsor H-1B visas most often for Sales Enablement Managers?
SaaS, enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, and professional services firms file the highest volume of LCAs for Sales Enablement roles. These employers regularly build out enablement functions and have established H-1B sponsorship pipelines. You can browse Sales Enablement Manager roles filtered by verified H-1B filing history directly on Migrate Mate rather than guessing which employers will sponsor.
Can my employer file an H-1B for a Sales Enablement Manager role if I'm currently on OPT?
Yes. Your employer submits the H-1B registration during the USCIS lottery window, typically in March for an October 1 start date. If you're selected and approved, your OPT covers you until the H-1B takes effect. If your OPT expires before October 1 and you're on a STEM extension, the cap-gap rule extends your work authorization automatically through the transition period.
What should I expect during H-1B LCA filing for a Sales Enablement Manager position?
Your employer submits a Labor Condition Application to DOL certifying that your offered wage meets the prevailing wage for Sales Enablement Manager in your work location and that hiring you won't adversely affect similarly employed U.S. workers. DOL typically certifies LCAs within seven business days. The employer must also post a public notice at the worksite for ten consecutive business days before filing the I-129 petition with USCIS.
Is a Sales Enablement Manager role transferable to a new H-1B employer mid-status?
Yes. Under H-1B portability rules, you can start working for a new employer as soon as they file a non-frivolous I-129 transfer petition, without waiting for USCIS approval, provided you've been in valid H-1B status. The new employer files a fresh LCA for the Sales Enablement Manager role at the new work location and wage level before submitting the transfer petition.
