Verify your degree aligns with the role
USCIS requires a direct connection between your degree field and the Sales Enablement Program Manager job duties. A degree in business administration, marketing, or communications typically satisfies this. A degree in an unrelated field increases RFE risk, so document any bridge coursework or certifications upfront.
Check LCA filings before applying
Use OFLC Wage Search to confirm a company has filed Labor Condition Applications for Sales Enablement or adjacent program management roles. Employers who've filed before are operationally prepared to sponsor again, which shortens your negotiation and speeds up the filing timeline.
Target companies enrolled in E-Verify
E-Verify enrollment is a reliable proxy for H-1B sponsorship readiness, especially at mid-size SaaS and enablement platform companies. It signals that their HR team has processed employment verification for foreign nationals before and won't treat your authorization as a new operational challenge.
Search verified sponsors on Migrate Mate
Filter Sales Enablement Program Manager roles by H-1B filing history on Migrate Mate. This surfaces employers with documented sponsorship activity in program management and revenue operations functions, so you're not cold-applying to companies that don't have an active sponsorship infrastructure.
Frame your offer letter timing around April
Cap-subject H-1B petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date. If you're receiving offers in the fall or winter, confirm whether your employer will hold the role through the next lottery window or whether a cap-exempt entity like a university research arm is involved.
Clarify who owns the prevailing wage compliance
Your employer must pay at least the DOL prevailing wage for your SOC code and work location. Pull the wage level for your specific metro area using OFLC Wage Search before negotiations start, so you can confirm the offered salary meets the Level II or Level III threshold for your role.
H-1B Visa Sales Enablement Program Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Sales Enablement Program Manager role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Yes. USCIS classifies Sales Enablement Program Manager roles as specialty occupations when the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business administration, marketing, or communications. Employers document this requirement in the LCA and petition. Roles that accept any bachelor's degree regardless of field carry a higher risk of an RFE on specialty occupation grounds.
Which employers sponsor H-1B visas for Sales Enablement Program Managers?
Enterprise software companies, SaaS platforms, and fintech firms are the most active sponsors for this role. These companies typically have dedicated revenue enablement teams and established immigration counsel, making repeat sponsorship operationally straightforward. You can browse employers with verified H-1B filing history for this role type on Migrate Mate, which surfaces LCA data by occupation and location.
Can I transfer my H-1B to a new employer if I change Sales Enablement jobs?
Yes. H-1B portability under AC21 lets you start working for a new employer as soon as they file a new petition on your behalf, provided your current H-1B has been approved for at least 180 days. The new employer must file a new LCA covering the Sales Enablement Program Manager duties at the prevailing wage for your new work location.
What SOC code applies to Sales Enablement Program Manager roles for H-1B purposes?
Most Sales Enablement Program Manager roles are filed under SOC 11-2021 (Marketing Managers) or 11-9199 (Managers, All Other), depending on how the employer documents the job duties. The SOC code determines which prevailing wage level your employer must meet under DOL guidelines. Checking O*NET for the job zone classification helps confirm which code best matches your specific responsibilities.
Does remote work affect H-1B compliance for this role?
Yes. If you work remotely from a location different from the one listed on your LCA, your employer must file an amended LCA covering the new work location. This applies even for temporary remote arrangements. USCIS and DOL treat the physical work location as the controlling factor for prevailing wage compliance, so a cross-metro move without an updated LCA creates a compliance gap.
