OUR APPROACH TO FLEXIBLE WORK
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.
At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email accommodations@workday.com.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding H-1B Visa Sponsorship in Source To Pay
Verify your SOC code before applying
Source To Pay roles typically file under SOC 13-1023 (Purchasing Agents) or 13-2099 (Financial Specialists). Check O*NET to confirm which occupation best matches your duties, misalignment between your title and SOC code is a common RFE trigger.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Use Migrate Mate to filter Source To Pay roles by verified H-1B LCA filings. Employers who have filed for this occupation before are far more likely to move quickly through the sponsorship process than those starting from scratch.
Document ERP system expertise in your petition
Employers filing your H-1B I-129 must demonstrate specialty occupation. Your proficiency with platforms like SAP Ariba or Oracle Fusion directly supports that argument, ask your employer to reference specific modules and certifications in the petition letter.
Check prevailing wage before negotiating your offer
Your employer's LCA must certify a wage at or above the DOL prevailing wage for your SOC code and work location. Run the OFLC Wage Search before your offer call so you know the Level I through Level IV thresholds for your metro area.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before accepting an offer
USCIS requires your petitioning employer to be enrolled in E-Verify. Source To Pay teams at smaller procurement consultancies sometimes aren't. Ask HR directly before you invest time in the interview process, unenrolled employers can't file.
Time your application around fiscal year start
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed for an October 1 start date. If your current OPT or other status expires before then, work with your employer's attorney to identify bridge options like cap-gap protection or a cap-exempt employer.
H-1B Visa Source To Pay: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Source To Pay role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as supply chain management, finance, accounting, or information systems. Roles that accept any degree or have no specific field requirement are harder to defend. Employers strengthen the petition by documenting that the role routinely requires theoretical and practical application of highly specialized knowledge.
Which employers sponsor H-1B visas for Source To Pay positions?
Large enterprises with dedicated procurement transformation teams, Big Four consulting firms, and ERP implementation partners are the most consistent sponsors for this role. Mid-market companies deploying Coupa, SAP Ariba, or Oracle Fusion also file regularly. Browse verified H-1B sponsoring employers filtered by this job title on Migrate Mate to identify companies with active LCA filing history.
Can my employer transfer my H-1B if I move from a consulting firm to an in-house Source To Pay role?
Yes. H-1B portability under AC21 lets you change employers once your petition has been pending for 180 days or more, as long as the new role is in the same or a similar occupational classification. Source To Pay roles within the same SOC code as your original petition typically satisfy the same or similar requirement. USCIS does review the occupational match, so confirm the SOC codes align before accepting the offer.
What happens to my H-1B if my Source To Pay project ends and I'm benched?
Your employer is legally required to pay your full H-1B wage during any nonproductive period that isn't at your own request. Unpaid bench periods violate USCIS regulations and can jeopardize your status. If your role is project-based, ask your employer about their bench pay policy before signing. Procurement consultancies with a history of sponsorship typically have documented policies for this scenario.
How does prevailing wage affect a Source To Pay H-1B petition?
DOL requires your employer to certify on the LCA that your offered wage meets or exceeds the prevailing wage for your SOC code in the work location. Source To Pay roles often span multiple wage levels depending on seniority and system complexity. You can verify applicable wage levels using the OFLC Wage Search before or during offer negotiations to avoid a wage-based LCA rejection.
