Strategic Sourcing & Contracting
- Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies across assigned categories, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, clinical needs, and financial targets.
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including RFP development, bid analysis, negotiation, award, implementation, and renewal.
- Evaluate and optimize the system’s contract portfolio to reduce variation, drive standardization, and maximize value.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and organizational requirements in all contracting activities.
Team Leadership & Development
- Directly supervise, mentor, and develop a team of seven Contract Specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular coaching, and support team members in managing complex contracting initiatives.
- Promote cross‑functional collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team and across the supply chain department.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a trusted partner to clinical leaders, department heads, and executive leadership, translating operational needs into sourcing strategies.
- Support value analysis processes and clinical integration initiatives.
- Ensure communication related to contract changes, cost‑saving opportunities, and sourcing impacts goes out to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare sourcing, contracting, or supply chain management.
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with contract management systems and supply chain analytics tools.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Certification such as CPSM, CMRP, or CSCP.
