Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding H-1B Visa Sponsorship as a Workday Analyst
Map your degree to Workday's SOC code
USCIS evaluates specialty occupation by matching your degree field to the role's SOC code. Workday Analyst positions typically file under Computer Systems Analyst. Pull the O*NET profile for that code and confirm your transcript reflects the required field before applications go out.
Target employers with active LCA filings
Use Migrate Mate to filter Workday Analyst roles by employers who have filed recent H-1B LCAs. Employers with consistent filing history signal an established sponsorship process, reducing the risk of an offer collapsing at the petition stage.
Prioritize STEM-adjacent ERP certifications now
Workday Pro certifications in HCM, Financials, or Integrations strengthen your specialty occupation argument by demonstrating domain-specific technical training. Employers filing your H-1B petition need evidence the role requires specialized knowledge, and vendor certifications directly support that claim.
Confirm the employer files cap-subject petitions
Hospitals, universities, and government-affiliated entities are cap-exempt H-1B employers. If you're an F-1 student on OPT targeting the April lottery, cap-exempt employers won't help you. Verify whether the employer's filing history is cap-subject or cap-exempt before investing time in their process.
Request the LCA before signing any offer letter
Your employer must file the LCA with DOL and receive certification before USCIS will accept the I-129 petition. Ask the recruiter whether the LCA has been submitted or is in progress. A signed offer letter without an LCA timeline leaves you without work authorization certainty.
Check the prevailing wage before negotiating salary
DOL sets the prevailing wage for your role by location and experience level using the OFLC Wage Search. Your offered salary must meet or exceed the LCA-certified wage. Negotiating below that threshold forces the employer to refile, delaying your petition start date.

Find Workday Analyst JobsWorkday Analyst H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Workday Analyst role qualify as an H-1B specialty occupation?
Yes, Workday Analyst positions consistently qualify as H-1B specialty occupations because they require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as information systems, computer science, or business analytics. USCIS looks at whether the role theoretically and practically requires that specific degree. Employers filing under the Computer Systems Analyst SOC code have a well-established track record of H-1B approvals for this role.
Which industries sponsor H-1B visas most frequently for Workday Analysts?
Healthcare systems, financial services firms, and large enterprise companies with significant HR or finance operations are the heaviest Workday users and therefore the most active H-1B sponsors for this role. Consulting firms that implement Workday for clients also file regularly, since they need certified analysts across multiple client environments. Browse verified H-1B-sponsoring employers for this role on Migrate Mate.
Can I transfer my H-1B to a new Workday Analyst role without losing status?
Yes. Under H-1B portability rules, you can start working for a new employer as soon as the new I-129 petition is filed, provided you're in valid H-1B status and the new role is in the same or a closely related specialty occupation. Workday Analyst to Workday Analyst transfers are straightforward from a specialty occupation standpoint. Confirm the new employer is prepared to file promptly to preserve your continuous status.
What happens to my H-1B if my employer's Workday project ends or my role is eliminated?
H-1B status is employer-specific, so a layoff or project end triggers your 60-day grace period. During those 60 days you can find a new employer willing to file an H-1B transfer, change to another visa status, or depart the U.S. Workday Analyst skills are in consistent demand across industries, which means the 60-day window is often enough time to secure a transfer if your job search starts immediately.
Do Workday certifications improve my chances of H-1B approval?
They don't directly affect USCIS adjudication, but Workday Pro certifications strengthen the specialty occupation argument the employer makes in your petition. When USCIS issues a Request for Evidence questioning whether the role requires a specialized degree, certification documentation gives the employer concrete evidence of technical specialization. For premium-processing petitions where RFEs can slow approval, having that documentation ready upfront matters.
