H-2B Visa Marketing Jobs
Marketing jobs with H-2B visa sponsorship are available at seasonal resorts, tourism operators, event companies, and hospitality groups that need temporary promotional and outreach staff during peak periods. Employers must file a temporary labor certification with the DOL before sponsoring you, and the 66,000-visa annual cap means timing your application to the correct semi-annual allocation is critical.

Verify your occupation qualifies under H-2B
H-2B visa covers temporary non-agricultural roles, but the job must be genuinely seasonal or intermittent. Pull the O*NET profile for your specific marketing title to confirm the occupational classification and match it to what the employer lists on their labor certification filing.
Target employers with established seasonal cycles
Resorts, ski areas, summer camps, and festival operators run predictable busy seasons and already understand the H-2B filing timeline. Approaching employers whose busy season has a clear start and end date makes it far easier to meet DOL's temporary-need requirement for your marketing role.
Search verified H-2B sponsors on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter employers by H-2B filing history in marketing-adjacent roles. DOL Labor Condition Application data shows which seasonal employers have actually sponsored workers before, so you're not cold-applying to companies that have never navigated the process.
Align your application to the cap's semi-annual split
The 66,000 annual H-2B cap splits into two 33,000-slot allocations: one for employment starting October through March and one for April through September. Know which half your job's start date falls into and confirm your employer files their DOL application early enough to secure a cap number.
Document the seasonal nature of your marketing duties
Consular officers and USCIS adjudicators scrutinize whether the role is truly temporary. Gather employer documentation showing that marketing activity spikes during a defined season, such as campaign calendars, event schedules, or occupancy data that ties your position to a limited operational window.
Confirm the employer has completed DOL's labor market test
Before filing with USCIS, your employer must run a DOL-supervised recruitment process proving no available U.S. workers were found. Ask for the temporary labor certification approval notice before signing any offer letter, since the visa petition can't proceed without it.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Marketing jobs with H-2B visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search employers with verified H-2B filing history in marketing and promotional roles, so you're only looking at companies that have actually sponsored workers under this visa category. Because H-2B sponsorship requires employers to complete a multi-step DOL certification before your petition even reaches USCIS, filtering for employers with prior filing experience dramatically improves your chances of an offer that can actually proceed to a visa.
How does the H-2B annual cap affect Marketing job seekers, and when should I start?
The H-2B program issues no more than 66,000 visas per fiscal year, split evenly between winter and summer allocations. Caps routinely fill within weeks of opening, so your employer needs to submit the DOL temporary labor certification at least 60 to 75 days before your start date. If you're targeting a summer season marketing role, the employer should begin their filing process no later than the prior December or January.
Does a Marketing role qualify as a valid H-2B occupation?
Marketing positions can qualify if the employer demonstrates the need is temporary, seasonal, peakload, or intermittent rather than year-round. A promotional coordinator role tied to a resort's summer season or an event marketing position for an annual festival meets that standard. Roles framed as ongoing or permanent marketing functions will not qualify, regardless of job title.
What documents should I prepare before an employer files my H-2B petition?
You'll need a valid passport with at least six months of validity beyond your intended stay, any credentials or portfolio materials demonstrating your marketing qualifications, and proof of ties to your home country for the consular interview. Your employer needs the DOL-certified temporary labor certification and a completed Form I-129 filed with USCIS before you can schedule a consulate appointment.
