The Impact You'll Be Contributing to Moloco: We're looking for a Head of Marketing for Moloco Commerce Media (MCM), the lead marketer for one of Moloco's fastest-growing businesses. Commerce media is one of the most important shifts in advertising, and Moloco brings something distinctive to it: the machine learning platform that powers performance at planet scale, now helping retailers and marketplaces build thriving ad businesses. In this role, you will develop the vision and strategy for marketing's role in establishing MCM as the category leader, and bring that story to the market through thoughtful positioning, customer partnership, and memorable moments. You will report directly to the CMO and serve on both the MCM and marketing leadership teams. You'll be supported by shared marketing functions, including product marketing, field marketing, campaigns, and communications, so you can focus on strategy, storytelling, and the work that matters most.
The Opportunity:
Own Vision, Strategy, and Market Fluency
- Develop the vision and end-to-end marketing strategy for elevating MCM to category leadership, and own the marketing plan across awareness, product storytelling, demand creation, and client relationships.
- Build a deep understanding of the commerce media market, our customers, the business, and the product, and translate it into positioning, messaging, and a sequenced plan.
- Operate as the strategic owner of the MCM marketing plan - end-to-end ownership is the top priority for this role.
Drive Product Marketing and Storytelling
- Shape product storytelling that highlights Moloco's unique technical capabilities: positioning, messaging, case studies, thought leadership, and the website.
Build Customer Partnerships and Demand
- Partner with top customers to bring our shared success stories to market while helping them grow their advertiser base.
- Create demand with key audiences at target accounts through account-based marketing, product launches, industry events (such as Shoptalk, NRF, and Cannes), and owned events.
Strengthen Analyst and Ecosystem Relationships
- Build relationships with analysts and ecosystem leaders to strengthen MCM's enterprise positioning and credibility.
Lead Across MCM and Marketing
- Serve as a strategic member of the MCM and marketing leadership teams.
- Drive outcomes through shared marketing teams (field, campaigns, comms, web) that don't report directly to you, raising the quality bar across the function.
How Do I Know if the Role is Right For Me?
- You have 10+ years of marketing experience, including senior marketing leadership at an enterprise technology company.
- You have demonstrated strategy experience, from consulting, retail leadership, or enterprise tech, and enjoy translating business direction into a clear, sequenced marketing plan.
- You are a gifted storyteller who can translate complex technology (AI, machine learning, performance advertising) into clear, compelling messaging for enterprise audiences.
- You build direct relationships with customers, listen closely, and bring their language and needs into the marketing.
- You have experience creating enterprise demand across account-based marketing, events, and analyst engagement.
- You are curious about AI and use AI tools in your everyday work.
- You have a track record of building or meaningfully advancing a category leadership position, not just executing within one.
- You stay steady under ambiguity, scoping it into a plan and keeping work moving without waiting for certainty.
A plus, but not required: retail domain experience, retail media experience, and/or technical fluency in digital advertising.

Senior Level Head Of Marketing Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level head of marketing job?
Employers hiring at this level look for candidates who have owned measurable outcomes, not just contributed to them. A portfolio of campaigns or initiatives where you set the strategy and can speak to business impact carries more weight than tenure alone. Experience leading marketing teams, managing budgets, and aligning marketing to revenue goals gives candidates a clear edge at the senior level.
Which companies hire senior level head of marketings?
Companies hiring senior level head of marketings right now include Plaid, Rippling, and Azurity Pharmaceuticals, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of growth-stage companies building out their marketing leadership and established organizations replacing or expanding executive-adjacent roles.
Are there remote senior level head of marketing jobs?
Yes, though the split varies by industry and company stage. About 39% of senior level head of marketing openings are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the reality that strategic and leadership roles often allow more location flexibility than hands-on execution roles. On-site positions still appear, particularly at companies that prioritize in-person leadership presence.
What makes a head of marketing role senior level?
Senior level head of marketing roles are defined by ownership over strategy and outcomes rather than execution of assigned tasks. These positions typically carry responsibility for the full marketing function, budget authority, and direct accountability to executive leadership. They also involve mentoring or managing other marketers, setting the roadmap, and making cross-functional decisions that affect the broader business.
Which industries hire the most senior level head of marketings?
Senior Level head of marketing roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. These sectors tend to drive hiring at this level because they operate in competitive markets where differentiated brand strategy and demand generation directly affect revenue and growth.
