Entry Level Home Health Nurse Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level home health nurse job?
Entry level home health nurse employers look for a current RN or LPN license, CPR certification, and any clinical hours completed during nursing school. Candidates who highlight home care or community health rotations, demonstrate strong documentation skills, and show comfort working independently in a patient's home stand out at this stage. A willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings or weekends, also improves your chances.
Which companies hire entry level home health nurses?
Companies hiring entry level home health nurses right now include Adoration Health, CenterWell, and Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Home health agencies, hospice organizations, and hospital-affiliated visiting nurse programs are among the most active employers welcoming new and early-career nurses at this level.
Are there remote entry level home health nurse jobs?
Yes, though most home health nursing roles are on-site by nature. About 2% of entry level home health nurse openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve care coordination, telephonic case management, or patient education rather than hands-on bedside visits.
Are these new grad home health nurse jobs?
Yes, many of the roles listed here are new grad friendly and include recent graduate and junior positions. A new grad posting typically welcomes candidates with zero to two years of experience and does not require prior home health employment. Internships, clinical rotations in community or home settings, and a strong practicum portfolio all count in lieu of full-time work history.
Which industries hire the most entry level home health nurses?
Entry Level home health nurse roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Technology & Software, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at the entry level because they rely on growing patient populations who need ongoing care delivered outside a traditional hospital or clinic setting.
