Overview: High Acuity OB Hospitalist Practice within Beautiful Pacific Northwest
Responsibilities:
Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced OB Hospitalist (OBGYN Hospitalist) to join a high-acuity, high-autonomy practice in Spokane, WA. This is a dynamic environment ideal for physicians who thrive in independent decision-making roles and enjoy managing complex obstetric care.
High-Acuity Care
Work within MuliCare Deaconess Hospital, which services 1800 deliveries annually, with a level III NICU for advanced care.
* Pediatrix OB Hospitalist team manages about 20% of total deliveries.
* Fully inpatient role, with consistent exposure to complex, high-risk obstetric cases.
* High-volume transport-in center serving Spokane and surrounding communities, with exposure to advanced pathology and extended inpatient stays*.
True Autonomy in Developing a Diverse Skillset
Function as the sole provider, having full ownership over triage, labor management, and emergencies.
* 24/7 OB Hospitalist coverage.
* Management of unassigned and high-risk patients including Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) patients*.
* Ideal for experienced physicians, confident in independent clinical decision making.
Established, Supportive Practice Structure
5 physician hospitalist team: Open to part-time or full-time seeking candidates.
* Collaborative culture with strong subspecialty support.
* Close partnership with Rockwood OBGYN* and community health organizations with high-risk needs.

Open to part-time or full-time seeking candidates.
* Must be comfortable practicing independently in a solo coverage model.
* Strong procedural skillset and confidence in acute care scenarios.
* Thrives in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.
* Board eligible/certified* in OB/GYN.
Benefits and Compensation:
Starting Pay Range (Base Pay): $160/hr
Regular full-time is classified as team members who are consistently scheduled and work 30 hours or more on a weekly basis. Regular full-time team members are eligible for the following:

NOTE: Team members at least 21 years old and are active full-time or part-time employees are eligible to participate in our 401(k) Plan at the time of hire. Team members who meet the plan’s minimum age requirement can enroll in the plan at any time, and contributions will begin as soon as administratively possible.
Team Members are eligible to begin participating in the ESPP if they have been employed by Pediatrix for two consecutive months prior to the start of each calendar quarterly offering period and are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for five consecutive months during the year.
Paid Sick Leave:
Eligible full-time team members will receive a lump-sum grant of 70 hours or eight days, whichever is more beneficial to the team member, of paid sick leave each year on January 1. A newly hired full-time team member will receive a prorated lump-sum grant after working for 90 days. A lump-sum grant will then be provided on January 1 in each subsequent year as long as the team member remains eligible. Unused sick leave granted under this policy does not carry over from one year to the following year.
NOTE: The Company will not pay team members for unused sick leave upon termination of employment.
