Who's Hiring

Hris Consultant Jobs in Dayton: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a hris consultant job in Dayton?
Dayton's strongest hiring comes from its large healthcare networks, Wright-Patterson AFB contractors, and mid-size manufacturers, so targeting those sectors directly gives you the best shot. Hands-on experience with Workday, UKG, or SAP SuccessFactors stands out here because those are the platforms local employers run. Networking through Dayton-area SHRM chapter events and connecting with HR departments at the region's major hospital systems and aerospace contractors will open more doors than a cold application alone.
Which companies hire hris consultants in Dayton?
Dayton hris consultant roles are posted by MTSI, Sinclair Community College, and P3S Corporation and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Dayton's employer mix skews heavily toward healthcare organizations, defense and aerospace contractors tied to Wright-Patterson, and regional manufacturers, all of which maintain dedicated HR technology teams.
Are there remote hris consultant jobs in Dayton?
Yes, though it depends on the role: configuration, reporting, and system administration work is frequently done remotely, while implementation projects and on-site training tend to require in-person presence. About 50% of hris consultant openings tied to Dayton are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader flexibility in the field. Project-based consulting and analytics-focused positions within Dayton's healthcare and manufacturing sectors are the most likely to offer remote options.
How can I get a hris consultant job in Dayton with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dayton is moving laterally from an HR coordinator or payroll administrator role at one of the city's large employers, then picking up system-specific certifications in Workday or UKG. Dayton's hospital networks and regional manufacturers regularly hire HR generalists who demonstrate initiative with their existing HRIS, making internal transitions common. Pursuing a Workday or SAP certification while in a support role signals readiness for a consultant title and makes you competitive for junior openings at local HR technology consulting firms.
