Position Summary
This is a field service role focused on industrial and commercial HVAC systems, with an emphasis on chiller plant operations, process cooling, and large mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities

- Service large rooftop and air handling units in commercial and light industrial settings
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings
- Complete accurate service documentation and communicate findings clearly to customers and management
- Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and represent the company professionally at all times
Qualifications
- EPA 608 Universal Certification required

- Demonstrated experience with chiller service (manufacturer-specific training a plus — Carrier, Trane, York, Daikin)
- Process cooling or industrial refrigeration experience strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of electrical troubleshooting and controls
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision
- Strong customer communication skills — you will be the face of our company on the job

HVAC Jobs in Greenville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a hvac job in Greenville?
The strongest path into Greenville's hvac market is through the commercial construction and manufacturing sectors expanding across the Upstate, where contractors and facilities teams hire steadily year-round. Residential builders along the Woodruff Road and Pelham Road corridors also bring consistent openings. Candidates with experience on rooftop units, chillers, or building automation systems stand out, and familiarity with the region's mix of light industrial and healthcare facilities gives a clear edge.
Which companies hire hvacs in Greenville?
Companies currently hiring hvacs in Greenville include Fluor, Dipple Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, Electrical, and OLH, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Greenville's employer mix covers regional mechanical contractors, large healthcare systems, automotive and advanced manufacturing plants, and commercial property management firms serving the downtown and suburban growth corridors.
Are there remote hvac jobs in Greenville?
Remote work is rare for hvac roles because most of the work is hands-on and site-specific by nature. About 0% of hvac openings tied to Greenville are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions tend to be estimating, project management, or energy auditing roles rather than field installation or maintenance.
How can I get a hvac job in Greenville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Greenville is an apprentice or helper role with a regional mechanical contractor working on the area's active commercial construction projects. Local contractors supplying labor to Greenville's manufacturing plants and hospital campuses regularly hire entry-level technicians willing to train on the job. Completing a technical program at Greenville Technical College strengthens your application and signals readiness to employers who hire from that pipeline.
