Are you in? Primary Purpose: PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for the operation of a regional area, which includes, but is not limited to, functions related to ensuring employee and public safety, promotion of diversity and inclusion among the organization, efficient operation, maintenance and construction of the electric distribution system, providing a premier customer experience and prudent financial acumen. Contributes as an ambassador of safety to ensure rigid compliance of safety rules, processes and procedures. Invests in a broad level of experiences and backgrounds, promotes an inclusive environment and leverages different experiences to foster employee development. Responsible for execution of strategic initiatives related to meeting or exceeding the business goals of the organization. Oversees and establishes synergies between Operating and Construction and Maintenance functions to ensure safe and efficient execution of the work plan. Provides support of strategies that leverage use of contractors and other partnering organizations. Manage and maintain working relationship with local union (e.g., IBEW Local 15). Delivery of the premier customer experience through direct or indirect communication with our customers and all-around quality of service. Provide support of storm restoration strategy. Delivery of financial performance through prudent fiscal oversight and execution of short term and long-term financial decision-making. All around contributor in obtaining attributes required of a high-performance organization. Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Primary Duties: PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES- Implement regional strategic objectives. Provide direction and leadership and apply benchmark learning's to focus efforts on achieving company and business unit goals. Monitor, review and provide guidance to meet scorecard metrics around safety, productivity, reliability and customer service. (25%)
- Direct the construction, maintenance and operation of all electric distribution new business, facility relocation, system reinforcement, repair/replace and preventative maintenance inspection activities. Includes providing assistance in outage response and restoration, distribution switching and the implementation of distribution operating contingency plans in order to support the operating system. (25%)
- Provide leadership to and development of the Overhead and Operating departments at the assigned location. Provide accurate and timely feedback regarding performance and operations. Conduct performance reviews and identify opportunities for growth and learning for construction personnel. Develop and execute labor strategies involving employees covered under the CBA. (15%)
- Regularly interface with key leadership while representing the Overhead, Underground and Operating organizations on issues and initiatives related to the electric distribution system, reliability, preventative maintenance and regulatory compliance. Interface with customers (internal and external) in order to resolve construction related issues. (15%)
- Develop and maintain an environment that fosters a high performance safety culture and an innovative organization. Lead the Electric Operations team in promoting diversity. Serve as a change agent for business initiatives and assures that the human element is understood and considered. Assure timely recognition of employee contributions. Develop methods to assess communication effectiveness and implement continuous improvement initiatives. (10%)
- Support preparation and manage the overall Regional Electric Operations budget. Establish and monitor business plans and Electric Operations financial objectives. Balance cost control with expenditures necessary for emergency response. (10%)

- Financial accountability is demonstrated through managing $10-25 million in capital and O&M expenditures per region, with significant impacts on company earnings
- Oversees initiatives to reduce the duration and frequency of Customer Outages (CAIDI/SAIFI) and manage the field force response rate for emergent callouts.
- Bachelor's Degree and 7-10 years of related experience, including at least 4 years of managerial or supervisory experience or in lieu of bachelor's degree, 9-12 years of related experience is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of collective bargaining agreements.

- Demonstrated experience in negotiations and providing strategic input on labor relation strategies.

- Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $127,200.00/Yr. – $174,900.00/Yr.
