Entry Level Insights Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level insights analyst job?
Employers hiring at this level look for candidates who can demonstrate hands-on work with data, even from coursework, personal projects, or internships. A portfolio showing you can clean a dataset, build a visualization, or translate numbers into a clear recommendation carries real weight. Familiarity with Excel, SQL, or a BI tool like Tableau or Power BI gives candidates a practical edge at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level insights analysts?
Companies hiring entry level insights analysts right now include ZS, ZS Associates, and Circana, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including consumer brands, tech companies, retailers, and professional services firms that need junior analysts to support data-driven decision making.
Are there remote entry level insights analyst jobs?
Yes, though on-site and hybrid roles are common at this level. About 67% of entry level insights analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who prefer flexibility have real options. Many employers also offer hybrid arrangements that let new analysts build team relationships while still working from home part of the week.
Are these new grad insights analyst jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior insights analyst roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship work or academic projects as qualifying background, or lists a portfolio as an alternative to a long work history. If a listing does not require prior full-time experience, it is suitable for a new grad.
Which industries hire the most entry level insights analysts?
Entry Level insights analyst roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Technology & Software, and Retail, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive hiring at the junior level because they generate large volumes of customer, operational, or market data that requires dedicated analysts to interpret and report on regularly.
