Job Summary
New Song Music Academy is a private music lesson company dedicated to helping students of all ages become fully developed musicians. We are currently seeking an ambitious, passionate, and dedicated Piano Instructor to join our rapidly expanding faculty. This role involves traveling to student residences to provide high-quality private piano lessons and attending student performances.
Service Area & Commute
To minimize your commute, all student residences are strictly localized within a tight 5-mile radius of our Mockingbird Station hub. Instructors will travel to student homes across the following specific Dallas zip codes: 75205, 75214, 75206, 75209, 75218, 75238, and 75225.

Requirements
- Experience: Previous music teaching experience is required (this is not an entry-level position).
- Education: Formal training in music (such as advanced private lessons and/or collegiate music schooling).
- Technical Skill: Ability to sight-read sheet music and play lead sheets for contemporary music.
- Transportation: Must possess reliable personal transportation to commute daily to student homes within our designated zip codes.
- Commitment: A minimum commitment of 1+ year of teaching at NSMA.
- Disposition: A patient heart for beginners, a passion for working with both children and adults, and high attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach students using standard NSMA lesson formats and provided curricula.
- Maintain accurate weekly records of student progress in your digital roster.
- Manage your academy Google Calendar to accurately reflect lessons taught.
- Assist students in selecting engaging pieces for bi-annual student recitals.
- Build strong rapport with families to cultivate a lifelong love for music.
Position Details
- Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour (Paid bi-weekly).
- Hours of Operation: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Flexible start dates available).
- Job Type: Part-Time and/or Full-Time.
