A high school diploma is the typical minimum education, though employers in Cheyenne and Casper often prefer an associate degree in business or a related field for roles involving policy processing or client account management.

Cheyenne leads as the state capital and largest city, where state government agencies, regional carriers, and corporate insurance offices are concentrated, while Casper draws demand from the energy and natural resources sector, and Gillette supports a strong commercial lines market tied to coal and mining operations.
