Kemper is a diversified insurance holding company that has been in business for over 100 years. We are firmly committed to serving the insurance needs of modest-income families. Our strength lies in our dedication to frequent personal home visits with new and existing customers to collect premiums, conduct sales of new policies, and address other service needs.
For new unlicensed agents, your journey begins with a paid training period. During this time, we provide the tools and guidance needed to study for and pass the licensing exams. Once licensed, you will be assigned an existing book of business, a portfolio of current customers from whom you’ll collect monthly premiums. You’ll earn a percentage of the premiums you collect, as well as a commission on all new sales you make. From there, the sky’s the limit! Through hard work and dedication, you can increase your monthly income with every new sale. It really is that simple.
If you’re passionate about serving the underserved, this is the career for you. Our agents gain personal satisfaction and community prestige by performing meaningful work that helps clients protect the people and property they cherish.

Senior Level Insurance Sales Agent Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level insurance sales agent job?
Employers at this level look for a demonstrated history of closing complex accounts, retaining high-value clients, and mentoring junior agents. Strong candidates can show they have independently managed a book of business, led sales initiatives, and consistently exceeded production targets. Licensing across multiple lines, combined with deep product knowledge and a professional referral network, gives candidates a clear edge in competitive searches.
Which companies hire senior level insurance sales agents?
Companies hiring senior level insurance sales agents right now include Kemper, State Farm, and KL, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level covers regional brokerages, national carriers, and independent agency groups looking for producers who can own a territory and develop other agents alongside their own sales.
Are there remote senior level insurance sales agent jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and line of business. About 83% of senior level insurance sales agent openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with fully remote roles most common in personal lines and group benefits. Client-facing positions in commercial lines or wealth-linked products tend to favor hybrid or in-territory arrangements.
What makes an insurance sales agent role senior level?
Senior level insurance sales agent roles are defined by autonomy, scope, and accountability. Professionals at this stage own a substantial book of business, set sales strategies rather than execute assigned ones, and are expected to mentor or develop less experienced agents. The role often involves cross-selling complex product lines, managing agency partnerships, and contributing to growth targets at a team or regional level.
Which industries hire the most senior level insurance sales agents?
Senior Level insurance sales agent roles concentrate in Insurance and Banking & Financial Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive demand because they require experienced agents who can manage sophisticated client relationships, navigate complex underwriting requirements, and sustain long-term revenue growth across competitive markets.
