Entry Level Insurance Sales Representative Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level insurance sales representative job?
Entry level insurance sales representative roles typically look for candidates who can demonstrate communication skills, a willingness to pursue a state insurance license, and some experience in customer-facing settings. Internships in financial services or insurance, even brief ones, give you a concrete edge. Highlighting any sales-adjacent work, such as retail or call center roles, also strengthens an application at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level insurance sales representatives?
Companies hiring entry level insurance sales representatives right now include State Farm, Allstate Insurance, and SCAN Health Plan, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of regional insurance agencies, national carriers, and independent brokerages that actively build out junior sales teams.
Are there remote entry level insurance sales representative jobs?
Yes, though most openings at this level are on-site or hybrid. About 39% of entry level insurance sales representative openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, so candidates open to in-office roles will find the widest selection of opportunities when starting out in this field.
Are these new grad insurance sales representative jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior insurance sales representative roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internship or part-time work in lieu of full-time history, or explicitly states that a state insurance license can be obtained after hire rather than required upfront.
Which industries hire the most entry level insurance sales representatives?
Entry Level insurance sales representative roles concentrate in Insurance, Banking & Financial Services, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they rely on growing sales pipelines and frequently bring on junior representatives to develop alongside established producers.
