ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general supervision, the Investment Banking Analyst is responsible for conducting industry research, building financial models to analyze company projections and or potential transactions, drafting offering memorandums for public or private financings, drafting client presentation materials and working with clients to execute financing or merger transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct industry research.
- Build financial models to analyze company projections or potential transactions.
- Draft offering memorandums for public or private financings.
- Prepare client presentation materials.
- Work with clients to execute financing or merger transactions.
- Some travel by car and/or air in conjunction with local, regional and/or national travel, up to 10%.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Investment Banking Knowledge - Experience with financial modeling and analysis with significant exposure to finance and accounting.
Analytical Skills - Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Knowledge of the financial markets, the industry, the analysis and reporting of financial data, and associated terminology.
Time Management - Highly-motivated and energetic while managing one's time, and effectively managing multiple projects and deadlines to ensure the timely completion of all items.
Personal Characteristics - Demonstrates professionalism, superior attention to detail, integrity, maturity, intellectual curiosity, initiative and good judgment; takes pride of ownership for wins and accountability for losses/mistakes with the ability to work in teams.
Communications Skills - Excellent conceptualization, presentation and communication skills to effectively execute change.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
Minimum Required: 0-2 years in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, equity research, transaction advisory or valuation, commercial banking, consulting or other related roles
LICENSES & CREDENTIALS
Minimum Required: None
SYSTEMS & TECHNOLOGY
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
