Job summary
At The SSL Store, owned by Rapid Web Services, LLC, the IT Administrator is more than just some back-end support staffer. Responsibilities include supporting 3rd party and proprietary software and hardware implementation and maintenance. Of course, your primary focus is to keep the office running seamlessly, this includes resolving issues with employees’ workstation computers, phones and our internal network but you may also be called on to perform a variety of moderately complex support duties including but not limited to: implementation and maintenance of Laptops, Desktops, Computer Peripherals, Active Directory domain controllers and servers, application servers, file servers, phone systems, software (i.e.. Office 365, Windows OS, Mac OS, Email / Phone administration). A working knowledge of web-hosting environments and/or AWS configuration is a plus.
What you will do
- Providing assistance in the use, installation, and maintenance of workstation and domain computers and printers.
- Setting up and configuring desktop, laptop and mac hardware as well as peripherals to ensure smooth daily workflows.
- Installing and configuring software and accounts assigned to employees with respect to their department.
- Administering employee accounts (i.e.: Active Directory, VPN, Office 365, Email accounts, Phone accounts, Support Desk Tools, etc.…).
- Assisting with Password and Security Credential assignment, safe-keeping, and maintenance.
- Conducting inventory and asset management.
- Documenting existing and future business processes.
- Creating scripts for automated internal processes.
- Providing basic troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of computer and phone equipment in a timely fashion.
- Staying up to speed with modern technologies, techniques, and methodologies.
- Providing guidance and insight on latest technologies and methodologies to help the team learn and adapt so that we collectively become more productive, work smarter and more efficiently.
- Monitoring internal network performance and provide suggestions and solutions to issues.
- Working with software developers to configure web hosting environments in-house and in the cloud.
What you will have
- 2+ years of experience in IT administration.
- Strong computer & Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience in networking infrastructure and configuration.
- Great oral and written communication.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to quickly context switch between different platforms, infrastructures, etc.
- Satisfactory passing of a background check.
