Pay Range: $81,000 - $116,000
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced IT Administrator to lead the design, administration, and optimization of our Windows-based infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments. This role serves as a Tier 3 expert, responsible for ensuring system stability, driving automation and standardization, and influencing infrastructure strategy to support business continuity and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Leadership & Architecture
- Serve as an expert technical resource for Windows infrastructure and cloud platforms
- Define and implement standards, best practices, and system architecture for enterprise environments
- Evaluate and recommend technologies to improve performance, scalability, and security
- Participate in change management and provide impact analysis for enterprise initiatives
Windows Server Administration (Tier 3)
- Lead administration of Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025)
- Oversee system design, upgrades, patching strategies, and lifecycle management
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex, escalated infrastructure issues
Cloud, Identity & Core Services
- Provide administration of Active Directory and Azure / Entra ID environments
- Manage identity, access, and group policy strategies
- Manage DNS, DHCP, NTFS, and DFS configurations to ensure reliability and performance
Virtualization & Application Delivery
- Management and optimization of Hyper-V virtual environments
- Support Citrix and NetScaler infrastructure (preferred)
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of hosted applications
Monitoring, Automation & Optimization
- Own monitoring strategy and tools (e.g., WhatsUp Gold) to ensure system health and uptime
- Develop advanced PowerShell automation to streamline operations and reduce manual effort
- Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, and remediation processes
Patch Management & Security
- Design and oversee patch management processes using Tanium
- Ensure systems meet security standards and compliance requirements
- Partner with security and engineering teams to strengthen threat posture
Systems Management & Tooling
- Lead use and optimization of SCCM for deployments and system management
- Utilize tools such as Lansweeper for asset visibility and reporting
- Integrate and support privileged access tools (e.g., Delinea) where applicable
Mentorship & Collaboration
- Provide guidance and mentorship where applicable
- Collaborate with global IT teams, architects, and third-party partners
- Contribute to documentation, SOP development, and knowledge sharing
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field OR equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure roles
- Proven experience in a Tier 3 or expert technical position
- Deep expertise in:
- Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022/2025)
- Active Directory and identity management
- DNS, DHCP, NTFS, and DFS
- Infrastructure troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Strong experience with:
- Hyper-V virtualization
- PowerShell scripting and automation
- Enterprise patch management (e.g., Tanium)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with WhatsUp Gold monitoring platform
- Familiarity with Delinea (Privileged Access Management)
- Strong experience with SCCM administration
- Knowledge of Citrix and NetScaler environments
- Experience with Lansweeper or enterprise asset management tools
- Exposure to Azure cloud services and hybrid environments
