Sales engineer for IT / Dell Servers, components & systems VAR

By utilizing our global procurement capabilities, supply chain solutions, asset recovery programs, and testing/repair services along with a workforce dedicated to providing the highest level of quality and service to our clients, DiscTech LLC is the choice of IT professionals. Established in 2003, we are in our second decade of development, and have a mature, but growing business model.
Currently, DiscTech LLC is looking for Sales Engineer who enjoys working with clients, understanding customers' technology deployments, determining the hardware solution they need, specifying, quoting and supporting. This specialist must be enthusiastic about technology in general, but have significant knowledge of servers, storage and/or networking. Ideally strong experience with Dell PowerEdge servers, or servers in general.
Job Description
This is an inside Sales Engineer role. Customers contact us with technology needs. This individual determine's the clients' requirements and suggests solutions and creates quotations. We supply components and systems. We support everything from mounting brackets to entire data centre build-outs.
Evaluating opportunities & responding to RFQs.
Building relationships with IT professionals, their departments and supporting their ongoing technology needs.
Helping create our item & technical documentation for website.
General office /admin work / customer support
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of PC / Server hardware technologies.
Dell PowerEdge Server / storage technology knowledge preferred.
Windows / Intel platforms primarily
Understandings of SAN / DAS / NAS / HDD / SSD preferred.
Great communication skills & willingness to build lasting relationships with clients
Ability to remember details & recognize opportunities
Comfortable working with numbers
Self-Starter
Sense of Humor
Motivation and persistence
A positive attitude
A team player
Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment
Experience with NetSuite Software a plus
Microsoft Excel skills preferred
High School Diploma required
Bilingual skills would be a plus
2+ years of technical experience required.
5+ years of technical experience preferred.
