This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.
This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.
ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP:
The Enablement Communications Coordinator Intern will be a crucial support member for the Enablement Team. This role is essential for maintaining clear, consistent, and timely internal communications across the organization, specifically focusing on go-to-market and product enablement initiatives. The intern will be responsible for drafting communications, managing key internal support channels, and ensuring the smooth logistical execution of live enablement sessions for internal audiences.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
- Internal Communications: Drafting, editing, and scheduling internal enablement communications (e.g., newsletters, email announcements, Slack posts) related to new learning launches, training events, and resource availability.
- Channel Management: Monitoring and managing the "Ask Enablement" internal Slack channel, providing initial triage, answering common questions, and routing complex inquiries to the appropriate team members.
- Logistical Support: Providing pre-session, live, and post-session logistical support for enablement webinars, workshops, and training events, including setting up virtual meeting spaces, managing attendee registration, and distributing follow-up materials.
- Calendar Management: Maintain a calendar of events across the post sales’ teams to ensure visibility across all enablement business partners.
- Feedback & Reporting: Gathering feedback on communication effectiveness and enablement session logistics, and assisting with basic reporting on channel activity and session attendance.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Strong Written Communication: Ability to draft, edit, and proofread professional internal content including newsletters, Slack announcements, and email updates.
- Logistical Coordination: Proficiency in managing the end-to-end logistics for virtual events, such as setting up webinars, handling registrations, and distributing post-session materials.
- Technical & AI Proficiency: Comfort with internal communication tools (Slack, email) and virtual meeting platforms, combined with the ability to leverage generative AI to streamline content creation and workflow efficiency.
- Organizational Skills: High attention to detail for maintaining a cross-functional calendar of events and ensuring visibility across multiple post-sales teams.
- Data Collection & Reporting: Ability to gather feedback on communication effectiveness and compile basic reports on attendance and channel engagement.
- Time Management: Capability to manage multiple deadlines, from scheduling time-sensitive announcements to providing live support during training workshops.
You will thrive in this role if you love translating complex information into engaging stories, navigating the fast-paced energy of live event production, and proactively asking the right questions to turn ambiguity into a clear, actionable plan.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding J-1 Visa Sponsorship as an Office Coordinator
Document your administrative training objectives first
Before approaching any host employer, draft a training plan that maps your Office Coordinator duties to measurable learning goals. Designated sponsors require this before issuing your DS-2019, so having it ready accelerates their review.
Distinguish Intern from Trainee category eligibility
If you're currently enrolled in a degree program, the Intern category applies. If you graduated within the past 12 months or have at least one year of relevant work experience, Trainee is your pathway. Applying under the wrong category stalls your DS-2019 issuance.
Search Migrate Mate to find J-1 compatible host employers
Many hiring managers don't advertise J-1 openings explicitly. Use Migrate Mate to filter Office Coordinator roles at organizations with a history of hosting international exchange visitors, so you're targeting realistic placements from the start.
Confirm the host employer will sign Form DS-7002
The designated sponsor can't finalize your DS-2019 without a signed training plan from your host employer. Get written confirmation early that the hiring manager understands this requirement and is willing to complete their portion of the paperwork.
Verify your program duration against the Trainee maximum
Trainee programs for business and administration fields are capped at 18 months by DOS regulations. Structure your offer letter and training plan to fit within that window, since extensions beyond the category limit require a new program application.
Check whether your home country triggers the two-year rule
Some J-1 participants from countries on the DOS exchange list must return home for two years before applying for an H-1B or green card. Confirm your country's status with your designated sponsor before accepting an offer, especially if you plan to stay long-term.

Find Office Coordinator JobsOffice Coordinator J-1 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Which J-1 program category fits an Office Coordinator role?
The Trainee category fits most Office Coordinator positions for early-career professionals who have a relevant degree or at least one year of work experience. If you're currently enrolled in a college or university program, the Intern category applies instead. Both categories cover business administration functions, including coordination, scheduling, and office operations, which align with this role.
Who is actually the J-1 visa sponsor for an Office Coordinator position?
The visa sponsor is a U.S. Department of State-designated organization, such as Cultural Vistas, CIEE, or AIPT, not your hiring employer. The hiring company is your host organization. The designated sponsor issues your DS-2019 form, approves your training plan, and monitors your program compliance throughout the placement.
How do I find U.S. employers willing to host J-1 Office Coordinators?
Most host employers don't advertise J-1 positions by visa category, so standard job boards return limited results. Migrate Mate lets you search Office Coordinator roles specifically at organizations with international exchange visitor experience, which helps you target employers who already understand the host responsibilities involved in a J-1 placement.
What documents does my host employer need to provide for my DS-2019?
Your host employer must complete Form DS-7002, the Training/Internship Placement Plan, which details your weekly duties, supervision arrangements, and learning objectives. The designated sponsor reviews this document before issuing your DS-2019. Without a signed DS-7002, the sponsor cannot process your program, so confirm this commitment with your employer before accepting an offer.
Can I extend my J-1 Trainee program if my Office Coordinator role continues?
Extensions are possible but subject to category limits. The Trainee category for business and administration fields allows a maximum of 18 months total, including any extension. Your designated sponsor must approve any extension before your current DS-2019 expires, and your host employer must submit an updated DS-7002 reflecting the continued training objectives.
