K 12 Education Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a k 12 education in Delaware?
Becoming a k 12 educator in Delaware requires obtaining a Delaware educator license issued by the Delaware Department of Education's Office of Certification and Professional Development. Candidates must hold at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, complete an approved educator preparation program, and pass the required Praxis assessments for their endorsement area. Out-of-state educators may apply for reciprocal licensure if their current license is in good standing.
Which companies hire k 12 educations in Delaware?
Companies currently hiring k 12 educations in Delaware include Essity, Domino's, and Coral Springs Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Delaware's public school districts, including Christina, Red Clay Consolidated, and Brandywine, represent the largest and most consistent sources of k 12 education openings in the state.
Which Delaware cities have the most k 12 education jobs?
Newark, Dover, and Wilmington are the Delaware cities with the most k 12 education openings, reflecting where the state's largest public school districts operate. Wilmington and Newark drive the highest volume as anchors of New Castle County, which has Delaware's largest student population, while Dover's openings are tied to the Capital School District and surrounding Kent County districts.
How can I get hired as a k 12 education in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a paraprofessional or instructional aide within a Delaware public school district while completing licensure requirements.
