Job Overview

Part-Time Hotel Maintenance Technician to assist with property repairs, preventive maintenance, and overall property upkeep. The ideal candidate must have previous hotel maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• PTAC Repairs: Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hotel PTAC heating and air-conditioning units. (Required experience)
• Painting: Perform interior and exterior painting, drywall patching, touch-ups, and minor wall repairs. (Required experience)
• Light Plumbing: Repair leaking faucets, clogged drains, running toilets, and other minor plumbing issues.
• Hotel Key Lock Systems: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic hotel door locks, card readers, and key access systems. Experience with Onity systems is preferred.
• General Maintenance: Perform minor electrical repairs, replace fixtures, and address guest room maintenance issues.
• Preventive Maintenance: Inspect guest rooms, equipment, and common areas to identify and correct maintenance concerns.
• Property Cleanliness & Trash Removal:
• Conduct routine property walks to collect and properly dispose of litter and debris throughout the hotel grounds.
• Monitor outdoor trash receptacles and empty them as needed, particularly when full or overflowing.
• Maintain cleanliness around dumpsters, parking areas, stairwells, walkways, and common areas.
• Ensure exterior areas remain clean, presentable, and free of trash accumulation.
• Work Orders: Complete assigned maintenance requests promptly and document completed repairs.
• Guest Service: Respond professionally to maintenance concerns while minimizing disruptions to hotel guests.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel maintenance experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing hotel PTAC units.
• Working knowledge of painting, drywall repairs, and light plumbing.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic hotel door lock systems.
• Ability to perform routine exterior property upkeep and trash removal.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance requests.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
• Dependable, punctual, and responsive to urgent maintenance needs.

Schedule & Availability

• Part-time position averaging 16–25 hours per week, depending on operational needs.
• Must be available to work night shifts and weekends.
• Schedule may vary based on hotel occupancy, maintenance priorities, and property needs.
• Flexibility to respond to urgent maintenance issues during scheduled shifts is essential.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced hotel maintenance technician who can independently perform technical repairs while also taking responsibility for the property's overall appearance and cleanliness.

The successful candidate must understand that maintaining a hotel involves both skilled repairs and routine property upkeep, including trash collection and maintaining clean exterior areas.

Our Goal: Maintain safe, clean, functional guest rooms and common areas, minimize out-of-order inventory, and ensure the property remains well-maintained and presentable at all times.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 25.0 per week

Work Location: In person
