We are seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Bloomfield, CT. In this role, you will be the operational backbone of our daily service operations for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar clients. You will bridge the gap between our field technicians, asset managers, and clients; ensuring systems run at peak performance and client requests are handled with best-in-class service.

Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations & Scheduling: Assist with the dispatch of field technicians for preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) tickets across our C&I portfolio. Manage dispatch reporting requirements and track time-to-dispatch metrics. Field calls from on-site electricians and technicians, review past work order history, and make on the fly decisions to diagnose system issues.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for C&I client relations. Provide timely updates on system status, service schedules, and resolution timelines.
- Onboarding & Project Intake: Lead the onboarding of new C&I client portfolios into our O&M management systems, reviewing contract terms and ensuring all documentation is accurately uploaded.
- Estimation & Proposal Assistance: Conduct work reviews, gather field data, review scopes of work (SOWs), and collaborate with clients and managers to draft accurate C&I SOWs and repair estimates.
- Equipment Sourcing: Propose and source alternative replacement equipment, components, and parts when a direct swap-out is not possible.
- Reporting & Risk Mitigation: Generate and distribute O&M performance reports for clients. Maintain meticulous digital records of service logs, closeout documentation, and warranties. Assist with warranty tracking and Liquidated Damages (LD) mitigation.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
- Commercial Solar Field Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience preferred. Preferred experience would include string/conductor testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and communications diagnostics for various manufacturers and monitoring portals.
- Project Management Experience: 1-3 years of demonstrated experience tracking deliverables, managing timelines, quality control and field supervision.
Technical & Computer Skills:
- Computer Proficiency: High comfort level learning and navigating software platforms.
- CMMS Tools: Experience with CMS/CMMS platforms preferred
- Workspace Tools: High proficiency with Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Drive).
- Solar Monitoring: Familiarity with solar monitoring platforms and Data Acquisition Systems (e.g., AlsoEnergy, SolarEdge, EnnexOS, PowerTrack, Locus, Enphase, PowerBI, etc).
- Attention to Detail: Must be comfortable diving into details in all aspects of solar maintenance, from quality control of field work to communication with clients.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional Communication: Stellar verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical solar issues to non-technical clients with ease.
