Marketing Consultant Jobs in Arkansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing consultant in Arkansas?
Marketing consulting in Arkansas requires no state-issued license, so the path is built on education and demonstrated results. Most employers and clients expect at least a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or communications. From there, building a portfolio of measurable campaign results carries more weight than any single credential. Professional certifications from the American Marketing Association or Google are widely recognized and help independent consultants stand out when pitching Arkansas businesses.
How much do marketing consultants make in Arkansas?
Marketing consultants in Arkansas earn a median of about $65,430 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $34,560 for the lowest 10% to over $136,310 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing consultants in Arkansas?
Companies currently hiring marketing consultants in Arkansas include Walmart, AdamsBrown, and University of Arkansas, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Arkansas's retail and healthcare sectors, anchored by large employers in Northwest Arkansas and Little Rock, generate the most consistent consulting demand across both in-house and agency roles.
Which Arkansas cities have the most marketing consultant jobs?
Bentonville, Little Rock, and Rogers have the most marketing consultant openings in Arkansas. Bentonville and the broader Northwest Arkansas corridor drive outsized demand because of Walmart's global headquarters and the dense network of supplier and agency firms that support it, while Little Rock's concentration of healthcare systems, state government contractors, and financial institutions sustains a steady need for consultants across the central part of the state.
Are there remote marketing consultant jobs in Arkansas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 42% of marketing consultant openings tied to Arkansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the desk-based and analytical nature of the work. Strategy, content, digital advertising, and market research functions are the most commonly offered in fully remote arrangements, since they rely on collaboration tools and deliverables rather than physical presence with clients.
How can I get hired as a marketing consultant in Arkansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is joining a marketing agency or an in-house team in a coordinator or analyst role and building a record of measurable results. Arkansas agencies in Little Rock and Fayetteville regularly bring on entry-level staff, and supplier companies based near Bentonville often hire junior marketing associates as a starting point. A portfolio of freelance or class projects, paired with a Google or HubSpot certification, gives candidates a concrete edge when applying without prior full-time experience.
Where can I find and apply to marketing consultant jobs in Arkansas?
You can find and apply to marketing consultant jobs in Arkansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the state. Search the roles available, find the ones that match your background and preferences, and apply directly through each listing.
