Marketing Operations Specialist Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing operations specialist in Vermont?
Most marketing operations specialist roles in Vermont require a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field, though some employers accept demonstrated experience in lieu of a degree. Vermont does not issue a state-specific license for this role, so hiring decisions hinge on platform certifications such as HubSpot, Marketo, or Salesforce credentials, which are widely recognized by Vermont employers. Building a portfolio of documented campaign results and automation workflows strengthens applications considerably.
How much do marketing operations specialists make in Vermont?
Marketing operations specialists in Vermont earn a median of about $74,880 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $50,700 for the lowest 10% to over $110,230 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing operations specialists in Vermont?
Vermont marketing operations specialist roles are posted by Avantor, Vail Resorts, and Fuse Marketing and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's healthcare, insurance, and technology sectors generate the most consistent demand, with larger Burlington-area employers typically maintaining dedicated marketing operations teams year-round.
Which Vermont cities have the most marketing operations specialist jobs?
Colchester, Vermont, and Montpelier have the most marketing operations specialist openings in Vermont right now. Burlington dominates because it anchors the state's largest concentration of healthcare systems, financial institutions, and technology companies, while Montpelier and South Burlington benefit from state government agencies, regional insurers, and professional services firms that maintain in-house marketing teams.
Are there remote marketing operations specialist jobs in Vermont?
Yes, and more than most fields, since marketing operations work is largely desk-based and platform-driven. About 30% of marketing operations specialist openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how well the role travels outside a physical office. Campaign automation, reporting, and CRM administration are the functions most frequently offered on a fully remote basis.
How can I get hired as a marketing operations specialist in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a marketing coordinator or marketing analyst role at a Burlington-area employer, where day-to-day exposure to automation platforms and CRM systems builds the operational skills hiring managers want. Large Vermont employers such as University of Vermont Medical Center and National Life Group sometimes bring on entry-level marketing associates who rotate through operations functions. Earning a free HubSpot Marketing Software or Salesforce Trailhead certification before applying gives candidates a measurable edge over other newcomers.
