Sales And Marketing Manager Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales and marketing manager in Vermont?
Vermont does not require a state-issued license to work as a sales and marketing manager. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or communications, followed by several years in sales, marketing coordination, or account management. Candidates who add a professional certification such as a Google Analytics or HubSpot credential strengthen their profile. Vermont's smaller, mission-driven companies often promote from inside, so starting in a sales representative or marketing associate role at a Vermont consumer brand or technology firm is a practical path.
Which companies hire sales and marketing managers in Vermont?
Employers hiring sales and marketing managers in Vermont right now include Avantor, Vail Resorts, and Fuse Marketing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's outdoor recreation, specialty food, and healthcare technology sectors are among the most active sources of ongoing demand for this role.
Which Vermont cities have the most sales and marketing manager jobs?
Colchester, Vermont, and Montpelier have the most sales and marketing manager openings in Vermont. Burlington anchors the majority of listings because it is home to the state's largest concentration of technology companies, consumer brands, and university-affiliated organizations, while smaller cities like Montpelier and Rutland draw openings from state government contractors and regional retail and healthcare employers.
Are there remote sales and marketing manager jobs in Vermont?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 33% of sales and marketing manager openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of the strategic planning, campaign management, and reporting work in this role can be done from anywhere. Campaign development, content strategy, and digital analytics responsibilities are the most likely to be offered with full remote flexibility.
How can I get hired as a sales and marketing manager in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a marketing coordinator or sales development representative role at one of Vermont's established consumer brands or healthcare organizations, then moving into management after demonstrating results. Companies like Seventh Generation and Vermont-based credit unions regularly bring on new-grad marketing associates. Building a portfolio of real campaign outcomes and earning a recognized digital marketing certification before applying gives candidates a measurable edge over others without direct management experience.
Where can I find and apply to sales and marketing manager jobs in Vermont?
You can find and apply to sales and marketing manager jobs in Vermont on Migrate Mate, which lists current Vermont openings in one place. Search the listings to see roles that match your experience and location, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
