This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Mechanical Design, CAD, or related technical program graduate to gain hands-on experience creating drawings used in the manufacturing of custom machinery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in developing their skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, modify, and release detail and assembly drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Create and revise drawings based on engineering changes, redlines, and customer specifications.
- Convert AutoCAD drawings into SolidWorks models and drawings.
- Prepare detailed multi-view drawings and drawing packages for production.
- Maintain and update drawing files.
- Review and self-check drawings for accuracy, completeness, dimensions, fits, and stack-ups.
- Work closely with Designers, Project Managers, Engineers, and shop employees to clarify drawing requirements.
- Follow established drawing standards and department procedures.
- Manage changing priorities and complete assigned work within required timeframes.

- Associate degree in Mechanical Design or a related field preferred; equivalent education and/or experience will be considered.
- Experience creating or modifying technical drawings from written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and redline changes.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks is preferred.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and other design software.
- Basic understanding of mechanical design, dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with Engineers, Designers, and shop personnel.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new information, ask questions, and adapt to changing priorities.
