Job Overview
As a Medical Assistant, you’ll help clinicians deliver organized, attentive care by supporting patients and keeping clinical workflows moving. You’ll welcome patients, complete intake, record vital signs, update medical records, and assist with procedures and medication administration within your training and applicable requirements. Your impact: Accurate intake and documentation help clinicians make informed decisions and give patients a smoother, more responsive care experience.
Duties
- Provide patient care and patient service in outpatient setting.
- Collect vital signs and relevant patient information; assist with phlebotomy and medication administration.
- Possess strong skills in SC and IM injections.
- Maintain medical documentation, medical records, and appointments
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling, room preparation, and coordination with the care team.
- Follow clinical protocols and apply medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology knowledge in daily work.
Qualifications
- Medical assisting training required. Experience in medical office management or hospital settings is helpful.
- Patient care, intake, phlebotomy, vital signs, medical documentation, and EMR/EHR experience are valued.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is required as applicable to the role.
- Must be a team player with solid communication skills.
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 24.0 per week
