ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Mental Health Therapist at Prairie Ridge Integrated Behavioral Healthcare, you will provide comprehensive outpatient behavioral health services to individuals, families, and groups. Your work will include conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and support clients in achieving recovery and wellness goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Treat all individuals with dignity and respect while maintaining agency standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and objectivity.
- Provide intervention, evaluation/assessment, and individual, group, and family counseling to individuals affected by behavioral health conditions across all outpatient treatment programs.
- Develop and maintain a community referral network.
- Provide education and training to individuals, groups, and agencies.
- Maintain all regulatory, contractual, and documentation standards and data collection, and complete necessary documentation in a timely manner.
- Consistently collaborate and coordinate care across all Prairie Ridge services, including, but not limited to, IHH and other programs.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of all documentation and reporting systems, including ISmart, Accreditation Now, MyOutcomes, and the Electronic Health Record.
- Attend staff consultations, supervision, and training activities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in clinical practices identified as best practices by the agency through supervision and direct observation.
- Understand and adhere to all CARF policies and procedures.
- Maintain minimum productivity hours as set by agency standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in a behavioral healthcare field licensable in Iowa (required for treatment of a primary mental health diagnosis).
- For clinicians treating individuals with a primary mental health diagnosis, a license as an LMFT, LMHC, LMSW, LISW, or psychologist is required.
- Understanding of Prairie Ridge's mission and the patients we serve.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication, as well as record-keeping.
- Technology skills sufficient to use electronic health records.
- Physical demands: Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
