Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy to adult patients experiencing a range of mental health and behavioral health concerns.
- Conduct clinical interviews, mental health assessments, and ongoing evaluations of patient needs and treatment progress.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with clear therapeutic objectives and measurable goals.
- Provide psychotherapy for depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD, ADHD, and other psychiatric conditions within your scope of practice.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches appropriate to patient needs and your clinical training, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and other applicable modalities.
- Support patients in developing effective coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, behavioral changes, and improved daily functioning.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment interventions as clinically appropriate.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and psychotherapy progress notes.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, and other clinical team members to coordinate patient care when appropriate.
- Provide psychotherapy through telehealth in accordance with Florida law and applicable organizational requirements.
- Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, ethical standards, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Attend scheduled in-office days and required meetings at our Fort Lauderdale location.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in the State of Florida.
- Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a qualifying related field that meets Florida licensure requirements.
- Experience providing individual psychotherapy in an outpatient mental health, behavioral health, psychiatric, or clinical setting.
