Senior Level New Business Development Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level new business development job?
Employers hiring at the senior level look for candidates who have owned a full sales cycle, built strategic partnerships from scratch, and can point to measurable revenue outcomes they drove directly. Demonstrating experience leading junior team members, managing complex multi-stakeholder deals, and contributing to go-to-market strategy gives candidates a clear edge over those with purely execution-focused backgrounds.
Which companies hire senior level new business developments?
Companies hiring senior level new business developments right now include Amazon, Spar, and Nestlé USA, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from growth-stage companies scaling their sales organizations, large enterprises expanding into new verticals, and professional services firms that rely on senior talent to open new client relationships.
Are there remote senior level new business development jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are common at this level. About 21% of senior level new business development openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how many organizations trust experienced business developers to work independently and manage client relationships without requiring daily on-site presence.
What makes a new business development role senior level?
Senior level new business development roles are defined by ownership rather than execution. Candidates are expected to set outreach strategy, manage complex enterprise or partnership deals end to end, and mentor junior team members. The scope typically includes cross-functional collaboration with marketing, product, and leadership, and accountability for pipeline targets that directly affect company growth objectives.
Which industries hire the most senior level new business developments?
Senior Level new business development roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Retail, and E-Commerce & Online Marketplaces, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive the most hiring at this level because sustained revenue growth, competitive market positioning, and complex client acquisition cycles require seasoned professionals who can operate with strategic autonomy.
