Nursing Technician Jobs in Jacksonville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a nursing technician job in Jacksonville?
Jacksonville's largest hiring concentrations are in Southside and the Beaches area, where major health systems and outpatient specialty centers cluster. Acute care hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, and long-term care communities all recruit nursing technicians regularly. Candidates who hold a current CNA credential, have completed a clinical rotation at a Jacksonville facility, or have experience in a high-volume med-surge or telemetry unit tend to move through hiring faster than those with only classroom training.
Which companies hire nursing technicians in Jacksonville?
Employers hiring nursing technicians in Jacksonville right now include Brooks Rehabilitation, BAPTIST Medical Center South, and Concorde Career Colleges, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Jacksonville's market is anchored by large regional health systems alongside specialty clinics, surgical centers, and long-term care communities that recruit nursing technicians on a rolling basis.
Are there remote nursing technician jobs in Jacksonville?
Yes, though remote work is rare for nursing technician roles given the hands-on, bedside nature of most positions. About 0% of nursing technician openings tied to Jacksonville are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to be care coordination, patient scheduling, or clinical documentation support roles rather than direct patient care assignments.
How can I get a nursing technician job in Jacksonville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Jacksonville is through a hospital patient care technician training program, several of which are offered by local health systems that hire directly from their own cohorts. Long-term care communities and skilled nursing facilities in the Westside and Arlington neighborhoods consistently hire entry-level candidates and provide on-the-job training. Completing a phlebotomy or EKG certification before applying noticeably strengthens applications at Jacksonville's outpatient and urgent care sites.
Which industries hire the most nursing technicians in Jacksonville?
Jacksonville nursing technician roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Jacksonville's position as a regional referral hub and its large retiree population drive sustained demand across hospital systems, rehabilitation centers, and elder care facilities throughout the metro.
