Entry Level Nutritionist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level nutritionist job?
Start by completing a dietetic internship or supervised practice hours, since most entry level roles expect at least some hands-on clinical or community nutrition experience. A Registered Dietitian credential or candidacy status strengthens your application significantly. Tailoring your resume to highlight practicum settings, population groups you worked with, and any counseling or meal-planning projects gives you a concrete edge over candidates with only coursework.
Which companies hire entry level nutritionists?
Companies hiring entry level nutritionists right now include Sodexo, Geisinger, and Atrium Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring comes from a broad mix of hospital systems, outpatient clinics, school districts, corporate wellness programs, and food service organizations actively onboarding new graduates.
Are there remote entry level nutritionist jobs?
Yes, though most entry level nutrition roles are on-site due to clinical or food service requirements. About 12% of entry level nutritionist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and these tend to be in health coaching, telehealth counseling, or corporate wellness where patient-facing labs and kitchens are not required.
Are these new grad nutritionist jobs?
Yes, this page includes new grad, recent graduate, and junior nutritionist roles alongside other entry level postings. A new grad-friendly listing typically welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts dietetic internships or supervised hours toward eligibility, and does not require independent licensure from day one. Roles that list a portfolio or case studies as acceptable substitutes for work history are also strong fits for new grads.
Which industries hire the most entry level nutritionists?
Entry Level nutritionist roles concentrate in Food & Beverage, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Hospitality & Tourism, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they have structured onboarding programs, supervision frameworks that support new graduates working toward full credentialing, and steady patient or client volume that justifies adding junior staff.
