Occupational Therapist Jobs in Greenville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a occupational therapist job in Greenville?
Focus on Greenville's strongest hiring sectors: inpatient rehab at the major hospital systems, pediatric outpatient clinics concentrated along the Woodruff Road corridor, and school-based positions within Greenville County Schools. Home health agencies are also actively hiring. Candidates who hold a hand therapy or pediatrics specialty certification tend to stand out locally, and familiarity with Epic or similar EMR systems is a consistent employer preference across Greenville.
Which companies hire occupational therapists in Greenville?
Greenville occupational therapist roles are posted by Prisma Health, Broad River Rehab, and Patewood Post Acute and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Greenville's market includes large hospital systems, regional rehab networks, private outpatient clinics, and school-district programs, giving candidates a range of settings and patient populations to choose from.
Are there remote occupational therapist jobs in Greenville?
Yes, though with a significant caveat: occupational therapy is predominantly a hands-on clinical role, so fully remote positions are rare compared to desk-based professions. About 50% of occupational therapist openings tied to Greenville are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to be in documentation, care coordination, or telehealth-supplemental roles rather than direct patient care.
How can I get a occupational therapist job in Greenville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Greenville is through fieldwork placements or new-grad programs at the larger hospital systems and outpatient clinic groups, which regularly onboard OT graduates. School-based positions within Greenville County Schools are also accessible for new clinicians, and COTA-to-OT bridge roles at skilled nursing facilities offer a practical stepping stone. Highlighting any Greenville-area clinical rotation experience in your application materials gives you a concrete local edge.
Which industries hire the most occupational therapists in Greenville?
Greenville occupational therapist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Greenville's status as an Upstate South Carolina healthcare hub, anchored by major hospital campuses and a growing network of specialty clinics, drives consistent demand across those sectors.
