Hydrovac Operations Laborer – CDL Required, Fiber Optic Construction – Mesa, AZ
Parker Communications LLC
We are seeking motivated Hydrovac Operations Laborers to join our fiber optic construction team in Mesa, AZ and other Arizona locations. This position is critical in supporting underground fiber optic construction crews with hydrovac/potholing operations, equipment operation, hauling, and general labor.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks requiring a CDL, to transport equipment and materials to and from job sites
- Operate hydrovac equipment to safely pothole and locate existing underground utilities ahead of construction
- Assist construction crews with trenching, boring, and installation of fiber optic networks
- Perform general labor tasks including digging, setting up traffic control, and site cleanup
- Operate and maintain basic construction tools and equipment
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including hot and cold environments
- Follow all company and DOT safety standards while on the job and while driving company vehicles
- Support field supervisors with day-to-day project tasks
Requirements
- Valid CDL License (Class A) with a clean driving record (must pass MVR)
- Ability to travel throughout Arizona during the work week
- Must pass background check and pre-employment screenings
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
- Preferred: Prior experience with hydrovac/potholing, underground construction, equipment operation, or utility work
