Responsibilities
The TikTok LIVE Governance team builds strategies, tools, and platforms that support a safe, thriving livestreaming community. We combine product innovation, operational expertise, and AI to improve governance effectiveness, user experience, and the efficiency of our business and operations teams.
We are looking for a Product Operations Specialist to help turn complex governance challenges into effective products and operational solutions. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Policy, and Operations teams to identify user needs, shape product improvements, drive launches and adoption, and measure results.
This role combines product thinking with hands-on execution. You will own product operations initiatives from problem discovery through rollout and iteration, using data and user feedback to improve how our governance products work in practice.
Responsibilities
- Identify and translate user needs. Develop a deep understanding of LIVE governance workflows. Synthesize stakeholder feedback, user insights, case reviews, and data to define problems, assess impact, and inform product priorities.
- Shape and deliver product improvements. Translate business needs into actionable requirements, workflow diagrams, and lightweight prototypes. Partner with Product, Engineering, and QA on requirements reviews, user acceptance testing, and release readiness, and independently drive scoped improvements.
- Drive product launches and adoption. Develop and execute rollout plans, deliver user training, and create practical documentation. Monitor adoption, identify barriers to use, and help teams integrate products into their day-to-day workflows.
- Measure performance and guide iteration. Define success metrics and maintain dashboards covering product usage, governance outcomes, and operational efficiency. Investigate performance changes, evaluate launch results, and recommend improvements grounded in data and case analysis.
- Own cross-functional execution. Align stakeholders on goals, deliverables, ownership, and milestones. Manage dependencies, surface risks, and resolve blockers to deliver initiatives with measurable results.
- Build scalable operating practices. Establish repeatable processes for gathering requirements, managing feedback, and resolving issues. Maintain playbooks and knowledge resources, and apply AI and automation to improve operational quality and efficiency.
Minimum Qualification(s)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain problems, proposals, and tradeoffs clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience in product operations, product management, strategy and operations, or a related role.
- Demonstrated product sense: the ability to uncover underlying user needs, evaluate product workflows and usability, and make reasoned prioritization recommendations. Ability to communicate proposed solutions through clear requirements, process flows, or lightweight prototypes.
- Working knowledge of the product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, solution design, engineering collaboration, testing, launch, and iteration.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to distinguish symptoms from root causes and translate complex business problems into actionable product or operational improvements.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and experience defining metrics, interpreting results, and combining quantitative analysis with qualitative insights to recommend actions.
- Demonstrated ability to independently drive projects across teams, manage timelines and dependencies, and take ownership of delivery quality and outcomes.
- Experience with livestreaming, content platforms, Trust & Safety, or platform governance.
- Experience operating internal platforms, enterprise software, or AI products, including launches, user enablement, and adoption improvement.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience using BI tools to independently query, analyze, and visualize data.
- Hands-on experience applying AI or automation to operational workflows. Familiarity with agentic AI systems, including workflow design, tool integration, and evaluation of output quality and operational impact.
