Summary: The Accounting Clerk is responsible for computing, classifying, recording, and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include the following:
- Compile appropriate information in order to file the 8300 form
- Ensure all 8300s are filed with the IRS timely for the stores assigned
- Ensure compliance with all 8300 laws
- Review daily 8300 reports for each store
- Ensure that all documents for the 8300 are uploaded into Box
- Ensure that notification letters are mailed out to customers in accordance with 8300 law
- Reconciles report discrepancies and problems
- Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures
- Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections
- Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services
