Entry Level Orthotist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level orthotist job?
Employers hiring entry level orthotists prioritize candidates who have completed an accredited orthotics and prosthetics program, hold or are pursuing ABC or BOC board certification, and can show clinical rotation hours. A detailed practicum portfolio, strong patient interaction skills, and a willingness to work under a supervising orthotist give new candidates a clear edge at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level orthotists?
Companies hiring entry level orthotists right now include Hanger, Hanger, and Sanford Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of outpatient orthotics and prosthetics practices, hospital-based rehabilitation departments, and national O&P provider groups that build their junior clinician pipelines through new graduate recruitment.
Are there remote entry level orthotist jobs?
Yes, though most orthotist roles are hands-on and on-site by nature. About 0% of entry level orthotist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically involve patient intake coordination, clinical documentation, or telehealth-adjacent support rather than direct device fitting.
Are these new grad orthotist jobs?
Yes, the listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior orthotist roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it explicitly welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts clinical rotations or internships toward the experience requirement, or lists a practicum portfolio as an acceptable substitute for full-time work history.
Which industries hire the most entry level orthotists?
Entry Level orthotist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services and Non-Profit & Social Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they maintain high patient volumes, run structured residency or mentorship programs, and regularly open positions to newly board-eligible clinicians entering the field.
