OT Jobs in Austin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a ot job in Austin?
The strongest entry point in Austin is through its large hospital systems and pediatric specialty clinics, which hire steadily throughout the year. Targeting employers near the Central Health campus, St. David's network, and the growing rehabilitation centers in the Domain area gives you a real edge. Experience in pediatrics, hand therapy, or neuro rehab stands out locally, and networking through UT Dell Medical School's clinical community helps candidates move faster.
Which companies hire ots in Austin?
Companies currently hiring ots in Austin include Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health, McLane Company, and All Care Therapies, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Austin's mix of large hospital networks, pediatric specialty practices, and school district therapy programs creates a broad range of employer types actively seeking OTs.
Are there remote ot jobs in Austin?
Yes, though hands-on clinical roles require in-person patient care, making full remote work rare for most OT positions. About 67% of ot openings tied to Austin are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, primarily in telehealth evaluation, care coordination, and home health documentation roles. Austin's growing telehealth sector has expanded these opportunities, particularly through health tech companies based in the Domain.
How can I get a ot job in Austin with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Austin is through fieldwork placements or per-diem roles at Austin ISD's therapy services program or one of the city's pediatric outpatient clinics, which regularly hire new graduates. School district OT roles and acute care float pool positions at local hospital systems are common first jobs locally. Completing fieldwork at an Austin-area facility builds the referral network that drives most early-career hiring here.
Which industries hire the most ots in Austin?
The sectors hiring the most ots in Austin are Distribution & Wholesale, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Austin's rapid population growth, expanding pediatric care infrastructure, and concentration of health tech employers continue to drive consistent OT demand across those sectors.
