Responsibilities:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) on our team, you’ll provide essential, patient-centered care that helps individuals overcome speech, language, cognitive-communication, hearing, and swallowing challenges. Working in a collaborative environment, you’ll make a meaningful impact every day by improving function, safety, and independence for your patients.
- Evaluates and treats patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, hearing, and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders using a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Applies knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan to provide age-appropriate assessment and treatment.
- Develops and oversees comprehensive rehabilitation plans addressing physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and environmental needs.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, including clinical reasoning, treatment planning, and interpretation of patient data.
- Promotes patient and caregiver independence through education, resources, and support to maximize functional outcomes.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Supports discharge planning by working toward goals established during evaluation and throughout the episode of care.
- Advocates for patients to ensure access to appropriate services and resources.
- Maintains basic computer proficiency for clinical documentation and system use.
- Follows applicable regulatory, safety, and practice-setting standards.
- Provides care across multiple settings, including inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based care, and home health.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- One to three years of experience preferred or Clinical Fellowship eligible
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to obtain required
