INTRODUCTION
Join Casey's in shaping a better future for our communities, guests, and team members as an HR Systems Manager! In this role, you'll lead the administration and continuous improvement of the organization's human resources systems (HR Systems), translating HR Technology strategy into execution and providing input to ongoing strategy development. This role is responsible for ensuring system effectiveness, data integrity, and seamless integrations across HR and business platforms. The HR Systems Manager partners across functions to optimize processes, enhance the team member experience, and deliver data-driven insights. This role also ensures compliance with data privacy and control requirements while driving system enhancements, user adoption, and operational efficiency.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for hiring, training, salary administration, performance management, coaching and corrective actions for direct reports. Responsible for collaborating with team members on career development and goal setting. Acts as a champion of a committed and empowering culture, working with direct reports and team members on modeling Casey's values.
- Lead the strategy, implementation, and ongoing optimization of HR systems to ensure they effectively support HR operations and business objectives.
- Own the integrity, security, and governance of HR data, including establishing data standards, conducting audits and ensuring accurate and reliable reporting.
- Partner with IT and other functions to manage system integrations across platforms (e.g., payroll, benefits, ATS), ensuring seamless data flow and system performance.
- Lead system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, including configuration, testing and release management. Evaluate HR processes and workflows; identify opportunities to automate, simplify, and improve the team member experience through technology.
- Serve as the HR technology subject matter expert and primary point of contact for system capabilities, issues and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the development of training, documentation and user support to ensure effective system adoption and user proficiency.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security and regulatory requirements; maintain appropriate controls and audit readiness.
- Oversee the development, validation, and analysis of HR reports, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and alignment with business needs.
- Manage vendor relationships including contracts, performance, and issue resolution, to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Lead and oversee internal controls related to HR systems, including documenting processes, maintaining control narratives, coordinating testing, and ensuring adherence to the established control environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION:
Starting pay range: $99,900 - $139,000. Actual pay may vary based on Casey's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance and an annual equity grant in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Business related field or possess equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of experience supporting and managing information systems.
- In-depth knowledge of technology and platforms.
- Experience and in-depth knowledge of HR Systems, including ADP Vantage is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in leading technology implementations, upgrades, or major system enhancements.
- Broad understanding of HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration and employee data management.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and vice versa.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors, grounded in transparency and trust.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities while maintaining clear focus and direction for both self and team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options and drive process improvements and efficiencies.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality and demonstrates strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Proactive, continuous improvement mindset with a focus on optimizing systems and enhancing the user experience.
